Hamish's Last Loaf (A Spells & Sourdough Prequel)

For sixty years, Old Hamish came down to the kitchen of the Golden Crust at five every morning, knelt in front of the oven, and said good morning.

Now Hamish is eighty-eight and coughing, the Festival of the Long Night is eleven days away, and the only person who can make the town's great Festival Loaf is a troll boy of ten, with hands everyone says are too big.

A gentle, cozy story about an old baker, a grumpy hearth spirit named Gerald, a boy who has never been let in anywhere, and the oven that went cold and waited four winters for the right person. The perfect warm-up for Spells & Sourdough.
