Ten Saves for Astrid (An Off the Ice Prequel)
$1.00
Twelve years before the viral clip, an eighteen-year-old goalie in northern Sweden made his little sister a promise: ten saves, just for her.
On the night a scout flies in from North America, Erik Lindqvist ends up benched for a locker-room fight he refuses to explain. Behind the glass sits Astrid, ten years old, in a red coat, asking everyone in the arena where her brother is and counting every save out loud.
This warm, big-hearted prequel shows how Erik learned to stay silent, why a crayon drawing rides in every truck he has ever owned, and the promise he still hasn't kept. A perfect introduction to Off the Ice.
