The Tuesday Night Sleuths

The book club at Maplewood Commons has a new title: murder.

Retired 911 dispatcher Dot Kowalski knows people tell the truth in the first ten seconds. So when grumpy Walter Dunmore leaves Tuesday book club saying, "See you next week, if I'm still alive," she hears the fear behind the joke. When Walter is found dead days later and everyone calls it a fall, Dot and her fellow residents at a Vermont retirement community refuse to accept it. Armed with their old careers, sharp wits and a lot of scones, the Tuesday Night Readers set out to prove it was murder.
